T he major issues to be addressed here have to do with the frequent dilemmas confronted by those of us interested in ethnic research and our multiple responsibilities as ethnic scholars and mentors. The viewpoint presented in this article is based on many of my personal experiences over the past 20 years as well as on my impressions of where we should be headed as ethnic researchers and scholars.
