In Oman, Oman LNG’s strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs have made a substantial contribution to the alleviation of poverty and the development of the economy, with a particular focus on the support of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Oman LNG has approved a plethora of projects over the past decade that are designed to improve the efficacy and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The company allocates 1.5% of its annual net profits to corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Providing financial support, promoting entrepreneurship, and enhancing skill development, these initiatives are consistent with Oman’s Vision 2040. Oman LNG has approved a plethora of projects and has made substantial investments in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and community infrastructure over the past decade. The transformative potential of these programs is illustrated by success stories like the “Gift to Oman” initiative and the Integrated Health Path Project in Sur. In this paper, we investigate the primary factors that have contributed to the success of Oman LNG’s CSR initiatives, as well as their methodologies and their broader socio-economic and environmental implications.
