However, the paper acknowledges that integrating sustainable materials is not without challenges. It highlights barriers such as higher costs, limited availability, resistance to change, and regulatory complexities that organizations must navigate. The paper presents an array of strategic approaches that organizations can adopt to overcome these challenges and effectively integrate sustainable materials. Strategies discussed include green procurement, life cycle assessment, circular economy principles, collaboration with suppliers, eco-design, certification, pilot programs, and education. Furthermore, the paper addresses the critical role of tools and technologies in assessing the environmental impact of supply chains.
