Key result
Observational analysis assesses ICE-guided LBBAP procedural workflow and outcomes without reporting quantitative results.
Why the study?
Data are limited regarding the use of intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) imaging in left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) procedures.
Does intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) guidance improve procedural workflow and outcomes in patients undergoing left bundle branch area pacing?

Does intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) guidance improve procedural workflow and outcomes in patients undergoing left bundle branch area pacing?
The study aims to describe the procedural workflow and outcomes of using intracardiac echocardiography to guide left bundle branch area pacing.

ICE-guided LBBAP workflow described in cohort; leaves open whether it improves outcomes versus fluoroscopy.
Left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) has been increasingly adopted for bradycardia as well as cardiac resynchronization therapy indications owing to its physiological nature. Contrast injection can help with assessing the depth of the lead in the septum and ruling out interventricular septal vascular injury. There are limited data on the use of intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) imaging in LBBAP procedures. Therefore, we aimed to assess the procedural workflow and outcomes of ICE-guided LBBAP using a venous access obtained through the device pocket for ICE imaging.
