The method in architectural and town-planning design is considered and aimed at formation of “collage” appearance of the urban environment, according to which the main town-forming elements of the environment - routes, knots, dominants, landmarks, panoramas and silhouett e. Their interaction are revealed in forming the complex urban environment is studied. The specifi cs of forming a “collage” image of the city are revealed on the basis of identifying the key city-forming elements.
