Examines carbon emissions linked to crude oil use in China and India, highlighting implications for environmental policies.
This study examines the relationship between carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions and crude oil consumption in China and India over the period 1970 to 2022. Using copula analysis, we find a moderately positive correlation between crude oil usage and CO₂ emissions. From a policy perspective, our research underscores the importance of integrating environmental considerations into economic growth and advocates for the adoption of eco-friendly technologies.
