The article considers morphological, syntactic and cognitive-discursive aspects of the English terminological thesaurus "Infectious diseases of the outer coverings of the human body", analyzes the open nature of its model, emphasizes the possibility of introducing additional descriptions to detail the semantic and cognitive properties of existing professional terminological units. lexicographic description of the professional language that functions in the English discourse "Infectology". The purpose of the article is to describe the nominations of the thesaurus "Infectious diseases of the outer body" as part of medical discourse, to identify their characteristics, namely: morphological, syntactic and cognitive-discursive features for in-depth study of professional language and terminology of this field of medicine. The following scientific methods and techniques were used in the research: descriptive, statistical, method of analysis, morphological and syntactic modeling, structural-semantic analysis of terms, etc. The relevance of scientific research lies in the need for modern linguistic research on the integrated study of linguistic phenomena in the professional literature, in the need to clarify the interaction of their structural, semantic and cognitive-discursive aspects. The interest of the studied discourse is related to the functioning of professional language, interactive processes in science, etc. Conclusion. Synonymous relations of terms, metaphorization, borrowing, transition of commonly used lexical units into terminological vocabulary testify to the high level of systematicity of terms necessary for unification, standardization of professional terminology, and are the basis of lexical and graphic codification.
