This article researches diaconal conversational practice at a center for youths in vulnerable situations in Norway. The research question is: How did youth deacons at a 13-20 center create their diaconal conversational practice in the past, and how do they develop it today? To address this question, I analyzed a focus-group discussion with four youth deacons from a 13-20 center in South Eastern Norway, focusing on values considered important by the youth deacons, the importance of being in a team, and the role of supervision.I used theory from the diaconal practice of "cowalking" and the theory of knowledge creation. The article highlights that the youth deacons' knowledge creation happens through openness, self-reflection, and introspection during staff meetings, supervision, and research. This attitude enables the conversational practice of being cowalkers with youths as a relational practice.
