The article reveals the characteristic features and peculiarities of patriotic education in relation to the current stage of development of the PRC (since 2012). Since 1949, the PRC has paid exceptionally serious attention to patriotic education. In recent years, this attention has only intensified, and the sphere of patriotic education in the PRC is increasingly expanding, covering not only the younger generation of Chinese, but also the broadest sections of the Chinese population. In the field of education in the PRC, the following levels of patriotic education are distinguished: preschool, school, university. We can separately highlight the family sphere. An important role in the process of patriotic education is played by the Communist Party of China (CCP) and its numerous “subsidiary” organizations (Young Pioneers of China, Communist Youth League of China, etc.). The widespread dissemination of concepts that make it possible to form patriotic views is facilitated by the propaganda system operating in the PRC (propaganda posters, etc.). It is a tradition to turn to art, for example, to cinema art. The possibilities of other types of art are widely used - fine arts (painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied arts), music, dance, ballet, theater. Holidays and memorable dates can be considered in line with the policy of patriotic education in the PRC. A separate area of patriotic education in the PRC is the Internet. In recent years, “red tourism” has been actively used in the PRC as part of its patriotic education policy. Finally, one of the most important means of patriotic education in the PRC are the “bases of patriotic education.” Enacting the Law on Patriotic Education in the PRC, which entered into force on January 1, 2024, gave a powerful impetus to the development of the patriotic education system. The scale of activities carried out in the context of patriotic education is unprecedented, which contributes to the involvement of hundreds of millions of Chinese in this activity and the actual transformation of China into a unique platform where new practices of patriotic education are tested in the conditions of the 21st century.
