The Russian-Ukrainian war as a factor in the disruption and evolution of global security balance

situation in the world will only worsen. Nuclear weapons are spreading around the planet, becoming a means of protecting sovereignty and an attribute of special status, which is dangerous. And no one can predict where the new sore point will emerge tomorrow in the world. Therefore, the Russian-Ukrainian war became the factor that forced leading world actors to understand that the existing global security system requires transformation. It cannot continue to exist in a state where a country that is a member of the UN Security Council, a nuclear power, attacks a democratic free country, is recognized as an aggressor, is a party to the conflict, and vetoes UN Security Council resolutions related to the resolution of this conflict, blackmailing the world with nuclear weapons, and is a nuclear terrorist (seizing the nuclear power plants of other countries). The author points out that due to the violation of the global security system caused by the Russian-Ukrainian war, the issue of nuclear weapons use is reaching a new level. The article summarizes the necessity of revising the existing global security system with an emphasis on forming a new system of control over the nuclear component (nuclear weapons, atomic energy).
