Stock dynamics and biological indicators of the main commercial fish species of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir for the period 2001–2021, their development by fishing

Based on research materials from 2001–2021 a review of the dynamics of stocks and biological indicators of significant fish species in the fishery of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir was prepared. Data on their stocks, catches by users are given, and the resource potential of the reservoir is shown. Recommendations are given on the rational use of aquatic biological resources of the reservoir, it is proposed to increase the catch of roach, silver bream, perch, crucian carp, blue bream, tench and other underutilized species by 20%, which will allow obtaining additional high-quality freshwater fish.
