In view of the rapid development of AIEd, the aim of this special issue was to revisit the realities of AIEd in the realm of higher education in the post-Covid-19 era. We were particularly interested in making sense of the impact of AI on educational accessibility and (in-)equity regarding the cost, quality, and access in HE.
