It is crucial to implement interventions that promote mental health in the general population. From Bioneuroemoción, we argue that developing self-awareness allows for the detection and transformation of unconscious perceptual patterns, facilitating new experiences and greater well-being. In this study, we evaluated whether modifying these patterns after receiving Bioneuroemoción training improves emotional well-being and quality of life in adults from Ibero-America. We employed a pre-post comparative design with 736 participants who completed psychological well-being and quality of life instruments before and after the training. The results showed a positive impact with moderate effect sizes on quality of life, specifically in the domains of Emotional Role (d = -0.24), Vitality (d = -0.23), and Mental Health (d = -0.22). Additionally, there were improvements in psychological well-being, particularly in purpose in life, self-acceptance, and autonomy, with moderate effect sizes of -0.36, -0.31, and -0.25, respectively. These effects were stronger in the group that received training before COVID-19. Bioneuroemoción demonstrated a positive impact even during the COVID-19 pandemic. These findings suggest that Bioneuroemoción could be a valid tool for primary prevention of mental health problems in the general population.
