The problem of increasing the efficiency of the process of teaching a foreign language in technical universities through the use of modern information technologies is relevant enough. The current article discusses the methods of teaching technical translation using authentic materials from the Internet, provides a theoretical justification for the need to improve the effectiveness of methods of teaching a foreign language in nonlinguistic universities, identifies the specifics of the organization of students' educational activities using virtual-real platforms. The paper presents the results of an empirical study of students' participation in an experiment, during which they conducted a study of the grammatical features of authentic scientific articles. The results of the study prove the high efficiency of using realvirtual platforms in the organization of research activities of students in the process of their training in technical translation.
