This research demonstrates the effectiveness of measles virus in generating high-quality iPSCs, suggesting new avenues for disease modeling.
Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) have become a powerful tool for modeling human disease in vitro, particularly for investigating patient-specific genetic disorders. By reprogramming somatic cells into pluripotent cells and differentiating them into relevant lineages, such as cardiomyocytes, neurons, or skeletal muscle cells, it is possible to reproduce key cellular and functional disease phenotypes under controlled conditions.
