A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording during the rebuilding of manholes and relining of sewers within Sowerby Bridge. Excavation of the pre-existing manholes exposed only previously disturbed ground and the existing brick culvert. The works all took place along the route of the existing sewer and the rebuilding of the manholes at the four locations did not disturb any previously undisturbed ground, and therefore did not expose or encounter any archaeological features or finds.
