This article deals with our assumptions about human beings, knowledge, education, learning processes, leadership and organizations as a basis for creating quality in education. I present a model for implementing total quality leadership in education based on a humanistic, organic and open system theory. The main focus of this model is the student and his/her needs and expectations in the ongoing learning processes. The model shows how the school system can work to provide processes in time, space and content that fulfil the student's needs and expectations.
