Parity-violating interactions of cosmic fields with atoms, molecules, and nuclei: Concepts and calculations for laboratory searches and extracting limits

This paper proposes methods and presents calculations that, in principle, could be used to detect ``cosmic'' fields such as dark matter, axions and dark energy, by investigating their parity violating effects in atomic systems, thereby imposing stringent bounds on various signals of ``new physics.''
