Although this book, 16th in the 'International Series of Monographs in Experimental Psychology', is definitely important it was a great disappointment to the reviewer. The subject of the mechanism by which motion is 'sensed' (by any animal) is full of uncertainty despite research going back to the days of giants like Wertheimer.
