The operation of switching power supplies is characterized by limit cycles. For a particular class of converters the limit cycle is not unique, and the converter output can jump almost at random among possible cycles. Converters subject to this behavior and methods for eliminating multiple-limit-cycle phenomena are presented by the authors. Experimental results on a hysteretic DC-DC converter are also included.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
