Demonstrates logistics enhancement in stratospheric applications, suggesting innovative aerospace solutions.
NEREIDA-1 is a conceptual hybrid aerostatic-aerodynamic high-altitude platform developed as part of the HELIOS Program roadmap. The system mimics jellyfish locomotion, integrating tensegrity structures, thermal buoyancy, and vortex recirculation to maintain stable operation within a stratospheric calm corridor at approximately 42 km. NEREIDA-1 features autonomous membrane maintenance and modular regenerative architecture to mitigate UV degradation. This technical roadmap presents simulation milestones (V1–V15) conducted via Python numerical models, establishing a theoretical framework for persistent stratospheric logistics and aerospace infrastructure.
