This study examines the relationship between workplace spirituality and intention to leave employment among community mental health workers. The study uses a cross-sectional self-administered survey of 403 direct service workers at the 20 participating community mental health centers in the state of Kansas. Results support the effect of perceived workplace spirituality on intention to leave and how intention to leave is moderated by degree of spirituality. Study results highlight how workplace spirituality can be viewed as a crucial factor that human service organizations can use to empower their workers. A recommendation for future research is to identify workplace spirituality as a factor for organizational transformation.
