Abstract Indian knowledge system aims to transmission of knowledge from one generation to next generation. The paper examines how Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) that help bridge between tradition and modernity by integrating this ancient wisdom into higher education in the twenty-fifth century. This research examines how Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) can transform education through NEP 2020's framework, marking a significant shift toward culturally origin pedagogy. IKS provides Guru-Shishya Parampara, Panchakosha theory, and experiential learning methodologies, ethical, physical, and spiritual dimensions and increasing ability of critical thinking. This paper drawn attention to the increasing interest in IKS worldwide especially in yoga and Ayurveda. Through qualitative document analysis, the research identifies substantial convergence between IKS principles and NEP 2020 provisions while highlighting critical gaps in teacher preparation, assessment paradigms, and resource availability.
