A discussion is given of the effect on the electrical properties of normal metals at low temperatures of the same interaction as that invoked by Fr\"olich and Bardeen in the theory of superconductivity. In particular it appears possible to explain qualitatively the resistance minimum experimentally observed in slightly impure metals, though a final decision must await an improvement in the general mathematical techniques for dealing with the Fr\"ohlich-Bardeen interaction.
