In recent decades, concerns about environmental sustainability and climate change have risen to the forefront of global challenges. The need to combat these issues has spurred a growing awareness of the role that financial institutions can play in promoting sustainable practices. An increasing number of banks worldwide have embraced the concept of green banking. In order to promote ecologically conscious activities and investments, it refers to the incorporation of social and environmental factors into the fundamental business operations of financial institutions. Several journal research articles and online resources were consulted in order to compile the data for this case study from secondary sources. This research approach uses case studies to evaluate how banks' green banking activities affect the environment. Green banks have higher operating expenses. Banks must support eco-friendly projects through project approvals is instrumental in establishing enduring environmental sustainability and should work on enhancing socio-ethical awareness to promote environmentally responsible practices. This study explores the environmental effects of green banking projects and evaluates their viability, obstacles, and efficacy in fostering sustainable future circumstances.
