This paper describes the requirements and features necessary for power systems that are both fault-tolerant and hot-pluggable. These requirements impose many important design considerations that go beyond those of a conventional power supply, including using specially designed, high-quality, pluggable connectors. An example of a power system designed to meet these requirements is also briefly discussed.>
