We appreciate the value of the public debate on societal impact of artificial intelligence in general. Our aim is to contribute to the public debate and present our ideas on the proposed regulation of artificial intelligence, which was introduced by the European Commission on April 21, 2021. In this paper we present our stance on specific areas of the proposed regulation - The proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council Laying Down Harmonised Rules on Artificial Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence Act, AIA) and Amending Certain Union Legislative Acts 8. The presented stance was shared by Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies and several proposals were adopted and approved also by the Government of the Slovak Republic in its duly preliminary opinion.
