AbstractThe paper aims to explore what role the US acquires in the Russia-Ukraine crisis. More specifically, the research emphasizes on two events, particularly the Russian-Ukraine armed conflict that occurred in 2014 and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict launched in 2022. In this regard, the paper will attempt to analyze the indirect interference of the USA in the conflicts, namely imposing economic sanctions against Russia and sending military equipment to Ukraine. In the last part of the paper, the findings are presented. To explain the US role in the Russian-Ukrainian war, the research paper applies realism and geopolitical Rimland theories.
