The experience of applying the multidisciplinary method of teaching has shown its great prospects. The presented article is devoted to the problem of training specialists possessing a complex of competences for solving problems in the private label segment of retail business. This direction of development of production activities is closely connected with the desire of commercial structures to gain control over the suppliers of products, as well as to be able to assign competitive prices for a wide range of goods. The economic effect is achieved due to reliable delivery times, product quality, the optimal assortment matrix. The share of retail chains has already reached 75%–82% of the total retail volume, while the share of Privat label products reaches 20%–25% In this study, the main emphasis is on mastering the modern approach to the work of a manager who knows how to relate the problems of the manufacturer to the requirements of a competitive market. This makes it possible to apply the knowledge obtained in an educational institution much more effectively.
