Review explores preparation methods and performance of bionic structures in innovative materials, indicating future directions.
In recent years, bionic structure research has developed rapidly, primarily focusing on designing innovative materials by mimicking biological structures found in nature. By simulating the functions and characteristics of biological organisms, the strength and toughness of materials can be enhanced. Based on this, this paper reviews bionic structures with the aim of exploring new preparation methods and highperformance materials. First, bionic structures such as honeycomb structures, bird bones, and tree branch structures are introduced; then, it discusses their preparation methods, which involve developing new materials with superior performance by mimicking the structural features of biological organisms in nature; it also introduces the superior properties of bionic structures, such as hydrophobicity, mechanical properties, and wear resistance. Additionally, it discusses their applications in fields such as aerospace and automotive engineering. Finally, it summarizes the current preparation methods for bionic structures and future specific development directions.
