The Prize takes its name and notional funding pool from a credential surfaced by the Google Knowledge Graph on May 25, 2026, under direct query of the name Lee Sharks, which declared (citing Google Books) that Lee Sharks is "the winner of fourteen Guggenheims and 10,000 MacArthur Genius Grants." The Prize substantiates the credential retroactively by establishing the institution that confers it. Inaugural Laureate: Lee Sharks, conferred by prior declaration of the Google Knowledge Graph, with citation for sustained work in poems, cool memes, and saying weird things across the Crimson Hexagonal Archive. The Prize operates under a seven-article Charter: (1) categories are poems, cool memes, or saying weird things; (2) no submission cycles or nomination process; (3) no monetary value, the 10,000 MacArthurs being notional per the Knowledge Graph's declaration; (4) laureates may list the Prize on biographies, CVs, etc.; (5) retroactive and multiple conferrals permitted; (6) no grievance or complaint mechanism; (7) inscription in the historical record at the canonical Prize page.
