Assesses process synergy in operating systems, indicating a new diagnostic approach for AI systems.
The health assessment of operating system processes has long lacked a unified cross-platform quantitative indicator. Based on Five-Dimensional Systems Theory (5D-ST), this paper treats OS processes as existents and constructs a five-dimensional mapping model comprising Boundary (B), Structure (S), Reserve (R), Direction (D), and Intensity (I). The internal synergy coefficient sigma is decomposed into ten pairwise dimensional matching degrees, the external synergy coefficient k into five components, and the energy level E is defined as a comprehensive scale indicator. On this basis, the 5DOS Probe v4.3 is implemented, supporting native acquisition on both Windows and Linux platforms. Through real-time sampling of two categories of OS process sets, the cross-platform consistency and bottleneck localization capability of the five-dimensional diagnosis framework are verified. Experiments show that the decomposition mechanisms of sigma and k can precisely identify internal synergy bottlenecks and external synergy deviations, while the E indicator successfully quantifies the scale differences of existents under different OS ecosystems, providing a unified five-dimensional language for next-generation AI operating system diagnosis.
