Case report shows radial head fixation improves stabilization in a girl with congenital forearm anomaly, suggesting viable treatment options.
Congenital deficiency of part of the distal ulna affecting the distal and proximal radio-ulnar joint is a rare disorder. It is even rarer to find the association of radial head dislocation along with distal ulnar deficiency. This type of congenital forearm anomaly is difficult to treat. Replacement of the radial head to the distal ulna allows the elbow and wrist to be stabilized;movement is possible in both planes. We are describing here a girl of 15 years having radial head dislocation along with a deficiency of the distal ulna treated by converting into a distal ulna replacement with radial head.
