Alexander Dmitrievich Kravchuk, a renowned neurosurgeon and head of the A.A. Potapov Department of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) at the N.N. Burdenko National Medical Research Center for Neurosurgery, was born on June 15, 1951, in Orenburg to a family of military personnel. His father, Major General Dmitry Semenovich Kravchuk, and his mother, Medical Service Captain Anastasia Alekseyevna Morozova, were veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
