Abstract Development of efficient synthetic methods for organophosphorus compounds, which are widely used in various applications, is an important pursuit. Although highly reactive species enable rapid synthesis under mild conditions, avoiding undesired reactions is often difficult. Microflow reactors possess high mixing and heat transfer efficiencies, allowing precise control of reaction time and temperature. This highlight review summarizes recent advances in the microflow-based rapid synthesis of organophosphorus compounds (residence time 10 min) using highly reactive species.
