Frozen-core Hartree-Fock wavefunctions are used to calculate the Born cross section. As well as calculating the ionisation cross section for the process which leaves the He+ ion in a 1s state, estimates are made of the cross section for the process which leaves the He+ ion in a 2s or 2p state and also for autoionisation. The calculations agree with experiments at low impact energies but at higher energies the Born cross section does not agree with the measurements.
