Do ACE inhibitors and ARBs prevent the chronification of atrial fibrillation through upstream effects?
Do ACE inhibitors and ARBs prevent the chronification of atrial fibrillation through upstream effects?
ACE inhibitors and ARBs may prevent the progression of atrial fibrillation by targeting the underlying structural and electrical remodeling caused by angiotensin II.
May support upstream AF therapy consideration; leaves open need for RCTs to confirm remodeling effects.
