Explores integration of ideological and political education in foreign language teaching, suggesting improvement paths.
Against the backdrop of the construction of the "Great Ideological and Political Course", foreign language teaching, as an essential part of higher and basic education, undertakes the mission of cultivating talents with international vision, national sentiment and cross-cultural communication competence. This paper sorts out domestic and foreign research results on the integration of foreign language teaching and ideological and political (I&P) education, clarifies the core connotation and value of enhancing and empowering I&P education in foreign language teaching, deeply analyzes the prominent problems in current teaching practice, and puts forward specific implementation paths from four dimensions: reconstructing teaching objectives, building a content system, innovating teaching methods and improving evaluation mechanisms. It aims to lay a theoretical foundation for the in-depth integration of foreign language teaching and I&P education and improve the effectiveness of moral education.
