Repository examines visual attention in deaf children with and without cochlear implants, suggesting critical insights into attentional processes.
This repository contains the anonymized datasets of research examining visual attention networks in prelingually deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) with and without cochlear implants. The studies investigated exogenous and endogenous orienting, tonic and phasic alerting, and executive attention using paradigms derived from the attentional networks model proposed by Posner and colleagues (2012). Participants included deaf children with cochlear implants, DHH children without cochlear implants, and typically hearing children during middle childhood. The repository includes behavioral measures such as reaction times, accuracy scores, attentional indices, demographic variables, and experimental condition data necessary to reproduce the analyses reported in related publications. All data have been fully anonymized in accordance with ethical guidelines and data protection regulations.
