The F model is studied for temperatures below Tc by the series method. Particular attention is paid to the behavior of the model in a staggered field which has not been obtained exactly. The accuracy and reliability of the series method as applied to the F model are discussed. It is concluded that the series method is illuminating in revealing the qualitative behavior of the F model, and the series reliably indicate that accurate quantitative estimates near the critical point are not possible unless longer series are obtained.
