This paper presents a coordinated control strategy for a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) under asymmetrical voltage dips, combining a Dynamic Voltage Restorer based on hysteresis voltage control (DVR–HVC) with a fuzzy backstepping controller (FBSC) for rotor-side regulation. The main contribution lies in the unified coordination between grid-side voltage compensation and rotor-side nonlinear control to mitigate asymmetrical disturbances. The DVR–HVC restores stator voltage and suppresses negative-sequence components, while the FBSC ensures accurate and robust rotor control under nonlinear conditions. Simulation results demonstrate significant improvements, including a reduction in total harmonic distortion (THD) to 2.31% and a fast dynamic response with a settling time of 0.0006 s. Additionally, overshoot, undershoot, and power ripples are effectively minimized. The proposed approach enhances fault ride-through capability and improves power quality.
