For the small-angle scattering of light at high frequency, the sum rule reported earlier implies that a system of N uniform dielectrics of different sizes may be superimposed to form a single scatterer of nonuniform dielectric. Numerical tests are given for the cases of forward end-on scatterings by two dielectric spheres of different sizes which are embedded into a layered sphere.
