Technological changes, especially the emergence of digital platforms and ecosystems, and the emergence of supportive institutions have promoted international entrepreneurship (IE) activities and related research. However, the political turmoil that dominates the global markets today challenges the foundations on which IE theory and practice are based. This new landscape also offers important opportunities for creative and impactful research. I discuss some of these opportunities.
