The aerospace industry is currently undergoing a transition to More Electric Aircraft (MEA). The replacement of hydraulic and pneumatic drives with electromechanical drives offers several practical design advantages. Recent research on electrification of the thrust reverse actuation system (TRAS) proposed an electrical distribution architecture and control strategy. This paper describes experimental validation of a rotor position synchronization control strategy for TRAS.
