This attractive volume collates a wide range of descriptions of x ray processes and apparatus, relevant theory and most useful data. It contains much undergraduate material but nevertheless could well become the standard introductory text for research workers in a variety of fields involving xrays including radioactivity, astrophysics and plasma physics.
