When polling organizations repeat the same question over time, the responses of each survey may be combined to give a large cumulated sample. Here the author combined answers to a question regarding satisfaction with De Gaulle, asked twenty separate times from January 1960 to November 1962. Some rather unexpected conclusions emerge regarding the regional distribution of support for De Gaulle, the stability of French attitudes by regions, the reasons therefor, and the predictive use of these combined samples of opinion.
