Demonstrates first-order phase transition in Luoshu Chiral Potts Model, implying novel insights into phase behavior.
The Luoshu Chiral Potts Model (LCPM) is introduced on the Luoshu lattice, a 3×3 magic square graph with generation (step +1) and restriction (step +2) directed bonds on the Z_5 state space. It is proved that the only configurations satisfying all 31 bonds are the five Uniform Shift Configurations (USC), establishing a ground-state degeneracy of exactly five. In the time-extended Yunqi Potts Model (YPM), three all-or-nothing theorems (A, B, C) guarantee that each of the nine palaces either matches or fails to match entirely, with no intermediate states. This algebraic structure yields a first-order phase transition at J_t^c = (h_y - h_d)(T - n)/(T - 1) (J_t^c = 0.976 for calibrated parameters) and maps to a block-level binary model with non-standard bond energy E_bond = -(9J_t/4)(1-s)(1-s'). Empirical validation using 141 years of CUG-CMA temperature data (1880-2020, 186 land grid points, 19,022 grid-year records) confirms: (i) highly significant Z_5-grouped ANOVA (p < 10^-82) with a Z_5-Z_6 fiber bundle structure (eta^2: 0.17 to 0.74 for variance-type variables, nontrivial Z_2 fiber over fire); (ii) globally synchronized Da Si Tian boundary jumps (1924: 89.2% DTR increase, binomial p = 9.2×10^-16; 1984: 99.5% TMIN increase); (iii) calibrated J_t ≈ 1.25 > J_t^c, placing the climate system in the locked phase near the critical point.
