After the 44-day Artsakh war the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkey in the context of deblocking regional communications continuously speak about “Zangezur corridor”, though neither during official negotiations, nor in adopted documents such a phrase exists. This phenomenon might have three explanations, one of which is of strategic, and the other two – of psychological character. The last two explanations might be characterized as a means for psychological pressure and “King Arshak’s Syndrome”. The above-mentioned three factors are interconnected to a certain degree: two psychological factors are means for serving to the first one as a strategic goal.
