Improving the credibility and effectiveness of nuclear deterrence is necessary not only to end the war that the West unleashed in Ukraine, or to peacefully put the West in a much more modest place in the future world system. Above all else, nuclear deterrence is needed in order to stop the approaching wave of conflicts and their escalation to the global thermonuclear level.
