We quantify the impacts of both convective and con -convective weather factors air traffic using metrics based on the 4-component NAS Weather Index (NWX). The adverse impacts of seven weather factors are calculated for over three years of data. The impacts are then broken out by airport, geographic region, and season. The quantitative results highlight extreme values that validate well with common knowledge of NAS beha vior.
